27

Yesterday I celebrated my 27th Birthday! I woke to the lovely site of about an inch of snow on the ground. I Hate Snow! It gives me the worst anxiety, so it totally put me in a bad mood.
My sweet husband woke up super early to surprise me with this before he left for school.
Jared called me from school to inform that he had my phone & that I had a bunch of missed phone calls. I later talked to my friend that was trying to get a hold of me all morning to take me out to brunch. I was on an emotional roller coaster ride all day. I even cut up my rose bush because I thought the yellow roses would cheer me up.
My little sister Heather is at BYU Jerusalem right now. She called to wish me a happy birthday. Ethan answered the phone- "Heather are you calling from heaven?" What a sad thought! I miss her so much I can't wait til she gets back!
We went to the Onion with my parents for dinner.
Ethan called the straw his "big red tooth"
I went there just for this dessert. It's called the Messy Face -blonde brownie, vanilla ice cream top with tons of hot fudge & whip cream. Ohh, how I needed that chocolate!
After driving through a Blizzard & a quick stop at the store, we finally made it home safely.
Ahhh, Home! Don't worry I'm feeling much better now! I  do have to say it's really hard to have a happy birthday when your not happy! It's not about getting older. It's a combination of different things. Number one is the weather.  The holiday season is right around the corner & it's not fun being a poor (college student family) & I really, really miss family & friends. I just needed to remind myself how blessed I am.

I'm so very lucky to be celebrating another birthday. I have an amazing husband & two beautiful children. That's all that really matters.
Just look at Sienna- how can you possible be sad with a face like that?
Sienna is so close to crawling. She is doing the inch worm to get around.

Since Jared woke up so early... I cut him a break. I did wake him up so I could open my presents.
Thank you everyone that wished me  Happy Birthday! It really, really meant alot to me this year!

Oh Michelle! I'm sorry it was hard to be happy on your birthday. Nobody tells children that they are supposed to treat you like a princess on your birthday, they only know about that rule when it's their birthday! :) And yes, it's no fun being in the young and poor demographic this time of year, I'm with you on that one. Sienna is sooooo adorable. I love her faces! Love ya!
