Last Labor Day, Ethan and I got first place in the stroller division of the Family Fun Run; however, because we weren't registered we didn't get a medal. This year we registered and we were able to pull of a repeat. I decided early on that I would actually train for this event so a week before the race I stopped eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream and I ran on the treadmill once. To make it even more exciting, we increased our weight load by adding Sienna to the team. I personally contributed about ten additional pounds from last year. It just goes to show you that hard work really does pay off, especially in the stroller division. The truth is I'm grateful for the stroller division because it gives an out of shape former runner like me a chance to win something.
We are building a dynasty!
This is going on display above the fire place mantle!
True, we don't have a fire place, or even a mantle, but that's not the point. Right?
It was a family event. See, look at this picture. This was the first 5K for both Michelle and Sienna.
Ethan and I are very proud of them.

Good job guys!!!
Jared, that made me laugh. Yer a dork! In a good way though...just like me :) Congratulations on your medal. And way to go Michelle!
Wow, forget pulling off game-tying three-pointers, you're on to bigger and better things! Way to kick butt in that stroller race! :) We miss you guys!
Too funny, I love the commentary. I think it is such a great thing to introduce our kids to these healthy, family activities while they are still young. Way to go Patsfield family!
thats so awesome michelle! great job! I know how hard it is to push a stroller and run.
Jared, you're hilarious :) Love this post! LOVE that fun run! I remember doing it when I was 10 years old. They've kept up the tradition for so long!
