I (Jared) noticed this beefy moth with strange wings in our apartment stairwell and thought I'd take pictures of it. I always do this when I find unique animals.
I tried to identify it on a website called butterfliesandmoths.org and I believe it is a Blinded sphinx (Paonias excaecata). I e-mailed an expert to confirm this and I'm waiting to hear what he says.
She was very cooperative for the photoshoot.

That is creepy! Watch the expert is going to come back and tell you that the moth you found is very rare worth millions!
I think it's sort of cute! If you become a millionaire, don't forget about your favorite sister! hehehehe
