A Week with the Peterson's

Ethan & I spent the last week in Kennewick with DeAnne, Justin & Katelyn helping them move into their new house. Little Miss Katelyn

One of the first things she said to me was " You have a necklace on your teeth! Pretty!" I guess she really likes my braces.
They both wanted to sit in the car seat & have their picture taken.

Look at Ethan's left hand. It's a pink & purple Dora glove that he wore all day long it, I tried to take away but he just had to have it on, "Mommy my glove, I need it on!!!!"

We went to Home Depot to get paint & a few other things for different projects around the house. Ethan was talking to Jared on the phone- note he is still wearing the Dora glove. My favorite project that I worked on this week was Katelyn & Alaina's room. I wish I took some before pictures so you could see the change, the room was a dark green color & felt more like a dungeon than a little girls room.

DeAnne picked out a light blue color to brighten

things up & I kind of took over from there.
I came up with the idea to do a white stripe all the way around the room & a box for a vinyl letter for each of the girls first initials. I have never done either ( taping or vinyl letters) so I was kind of nervous that I would completely miss it up. I think it turned out adorable!

DeAnne brought Katelyn into see the her new room & she said, "I love it!"

That's really all the matters!

Katelyn's Birthday Party

All week Katelyn talked about her Dora cake, that she was going to have at her birthday party. Katelyn was so cute on Saturday, she couldn't wait for her friends to show up for the party. We had a great time, there was a bean bag toss, fishing game & a Dora Pinata!

Instead of beating Dora with a stick, Each kid took a turning pulling a string.

Jared drove over on Friday to spend the rest of the weekend with us. He is smart he came after all the hard work was finished!

Despite all the heavy lifting, furniture moving, unpacking, tons of painting & all the other hard work I did this past week, I still had a lot of fun. I love spending time with Peterson's! It was especially nice to help them get settled into the new house before the arrival of Alaina & before we me to Utah at the end of the summer.
