It's a Potty !!!!

Ethan truly loves his potty, but he uses it for
everything else but going potty in it.
For example he likes to use it as a step stool to get
things off the counter that he shouldn't touch
(like Daddy's razor). The seat cushion makes a great
hat. I especially love it when he drives his cars in it
and leaves them inside for safe keeping, good thing he
hardly ever uses it! One of my goals this year is to
have him potty trained before his
3rd Birthday, any body have any good tips????

Justin took Katelyn to pick out a (sugar-free) treat for when she goes potty on the toilet. Last night I asked her if she wanted to go pee on her toilet so she could have a treat and she said "ok". She went in, sat down and yelled "i peed mom!" so I went in there and sure enough she peed. We were so excited. And she enjoyed her treat. I personally feel that every child is ready at a different time, but it helps to encourage them to keep trying. I'm sure he will get the hang of it. Maybe he could pick out a special treat just for when he goes on the potty. Miss you guys!

Abby loved gummy bears. And we didn't do pullups because she thought they were like a diaper. So we started with undies. I wish you the best of luck, it can be a big headache! But now that it's done there is no stress.

So I don't have kids but I remember my mom training my younger brother and she swears by this method. I don't know when Ethan's birthday is but my mom would wait until the summer or warmer weather and since we did a ton of stuff outside she taught the boys how to pee outside. Silly I know, but the boys loved it, they could target any bush or tree and go at it, then she brought the skill into the toilet and that is where they potty trained. I know candy isn't great but I guess she used red vines with me....good luck!
